The Seekers (released in the U.S. in 1955 as "Land of Fury"), the 1954 Ken Annakin English tropical island jungle native tribe adventure melodrama ("They found the most exotic wilderness that man has ever known!"; "Actually filmed in New Zealand! All the strange customs of a forgotten people"; "Actually filmed in New Zealand all the weird rites and strange customs of a forgotten people"; "The Ancient Kingdom of the Maori, where human skulls were wealth and savage pagan rituals filled the jungle night with ecstasy and terror!"; about white men colonizing New Zealand and taking it away from the native Maoris in the early 1800s) starring Jack Hawkins, Glynis Johns, Noel Purcell, Laya Raki (billed as "introducing Laya Raki"), and Inia Te Wiata

Important Added Info: Note that this is a "country of origin" item for this English movie! Also note that some English pressbooks from this time would have the liftbill poster (17 1/4" x 22 1/4") stapled into the centerfold, or sometimes left loose in the center of the pressbook). Often, dealers remove these from the pressbook and sell them separately as liftbills, because they often sell for more by themselves than they do when they are still part of the pressbook. Also note that we have provided an image of the front and back covers of this English pressbook, and of course, the winner of this auction will receive the entire single pressbook we are auctioning (plus any supplements or heralds described above)! Finally, note that this English pressbook is complete and uncut! Given that theater owners purchased pressbooks partly in order to create their newspaper advertising, and quite frequently cut them up for that purpose, it is rare to find a pressbook that IS complete and uncut!

Condition: good to very good, NO CUTS. The pressbook is complete and uncut. There is a large snipe glued over the entire image area of the front cover (we don't know why the snipe was needed). There is separation at the spine, a tape stain in the top left corner, and an NSS number in the top right of the cover. The liftbill poster is in pretty nice condition (note that in other English pressbooks like this that we have seen, the liftbill is blank on the reverse, but in this case, there is printing on the reverse of the entire liftbill, but it does not affect the front, and the poster will display great!
