An Original Vintage Theatrical Autographed Movie Title Lobby Card (LC TC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) The Canterville Ghost, the 1944 Jules Dassin World War II (WWII) England horror fantasy comedy ("MGM's comedy!"; "It Puts You in the Best of Spirits!"; "Based on 'The Canterville Ghost' by Oscar Wilde"; about some U.S. soldiers that are stationed in an English castle during World War II, and the castle is haunted by the ghost of a cowardly English lord from the 1600s, and he won't be able to rest until a descendant performs an act of bravery, and one of the soldiers is descended from him) starring Charles Laughton (in the title role as Sir Simon de Canterville), Robert Young, Margaret O'Brien ("Star of 'Lost Angel'"; "The darling of 'Lost Angel'"), William Gargan, Reginald Owen, 'Rags' Ragland, Mike Mazurki, and Una O'Connor NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this lobby card has been personally autographed (signed) by Margaret O'Brien! Our consignor obtained the autograph in person at a Ray Courts Hollywood Show. Also note that this lobby card was printed in the United States for use at theaters with Spanish speaking audiences (this was done most by MGM, starting in the 1930s, but it was done by the other major studios as well, and often the posters would have the exact same image as the English language poster, except the writing would be in Spanish, and on posters from the 1930s and 1940s there would be an added "Toda en Espanol!", meaning "Entirely in Spanish!", printed within the image). Sometimes posters from the 1960s or later will have the word "SPANISH" printed in the bottom border (or sometimes stamped on the back of the poster). Condition: good.
