The first film in the series, Star Wars (which was later subtitled Episode IV: A New Hope) was released in 1977 and became a worldwide phenomenon. It was followed by The Empire Strikes Back in 1980, and Return of the Jedi in 1983 (these three films are considered "the original trilogy"). The "prequel trilogy" (The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones & The Revenge of the Sith) was released between 1999 and 2005. In 2012, The Walt Disney Company acquired Lucasfilm and they began to release new Star Wars films including: The Force Awakens, Rogue One, The Last Jedi, Solo and more! The series has spawned books, television series, video games, comic books, toys, and many other products. Also note that portions of this item are printed on a foil material and is very difficult to accurately photograph, but is quite striking when viewed in person! Condition: very good. Two have a tiny diagonal crease in the lower right corner. The one for Return of the Jedi has a larger and more noticeable one at lower left (see our images).
