eMoviePoster.comAuction History Result 2h0032 ELIZABETH TAYLOR signed letter AND signed REPRO photo 1969 Mrs. Burton signed for her husband Date Sold 6/12/2022Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Autographed Letter (measures 6 1/4" x 7" [16 x 18 cm]) AND An Autographed REPRODUCTION Photo (measures 8" x 10") (Learn More) Elizabeth Taylor was one of the most legendary actresses of all time! She started as a child actress in the 1940s, became a teen actress in the 1950s, and became a major star from the 1960s to the 1990s. Some of her movies include: Who's Afraid Of Virginia Woolf? (winner of the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), North and South, Cat On A Hot Tin Roof (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), A Place in the Sun, Giant, Jane Eyre, Father of the Bride, National Velvet, Suddenly, Last Summer (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), Raintree County (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), Butterfield 8 (winner of the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), and the "Lassie" films. Some consider her the most beautiful brunette actress of all time! She passed away in 2011 at the age of 79. Important Added Info: Note that this signed letter (written on "Mrs. Richard Burton" stationery) was entirely handwritten by Elizabeth Taylor to Eli Sandler, and she signed it "Elizabeth & Richard Burton", but she clearly signed for both of them. Also in this auction is a REPRODUCTION photo that Mrs. Burton included to Eli Sandler that she signed saying "For Eli, Many happy returns and happiest of birthdays, Always, Elizabeth Taylor". Given that she signed them differently, we would think they were sent to Eli Sandler at different times, but the winner of this auction will get both items. Also note that this auction also includes the envelope the letter was originally sent in, which has "MRS. RICHARD BURTON" printed on the back. Our consignor got it in the early 1980s from the estate of a man who passed away. He does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we believe the signature to likely be authentic. As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. On non-signed items, we give a "lifetime guarantee" on everything we auction, but on signed items, we give the above modified guarantee of 30 days after the auction closes. Condition: very good.
