Trans World Airlines (TWA) was a major American airline that existed from 1930 until 2001. With American, United, and Eastern, it was one of the "Big Four" domestic airlines in the United States. Howard Hughes acquired control of TWA in 1939, and after World War II (WWII) led the expansion of the airline to serve Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, making TWA a second unofficial flag carrier of the United States after Pan Am. In 2001, TWA filed for bankruptcy and was acquired by American Airlines.

Condition: good. There is uneven discoloration throughout the poster and there is a 4" tear in the upper left corner that has been repaired with tape from the back. Note that this is a single page from a calendar that most likely had twelve pages! Please do NOT bid thinking that it is the entire calendar as it is a single page!
