An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Pleasures of the Rich, the 1926 Louis Gasnier silent romantic melodrama ("Suggested by the Story 'The Wrong Coat' by Harold MacGrath"; "Adapted and supervised for the screen by A.P. Younger"; an odd tale of a widowed pushcart owner who becomes fabulously wealthy, and he attracts a beautiful golddigger, played by Hedda Hopper, and his daughter falls for a handsome playboy, and the golddigger goes after the daughter's boyfriend!) starring Helene Chadwick, Jack Mulhall, Hedda Hopper, Mary Carr, Julianne Johnston, and Lillian Langdon. Note that Mary Carr became a major star in the mid 1910s around the age of 40, playing the parts of saintly mothers. She continued to make movies (switching to grandmother roles) through the mid 1930s, and then continued with mostly uncredited parts until the mid 1950s. She passed away in 1973 at the age of 99! The poster had minor wear along the horizontal foldlines and some very minor border defects. Overall, the poster was in very good to fine condition prior to linenbacking.
