An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Hot Car Girl, the 1958 Bernard L. Kowalski bad girl teen delinquent automobile car racing sports thriller ("She's Hell-On-Wheels... Fired up for any thrill!"; "With the Jazz Score of Cal Tjader"; "Written by Leo Gordon"; produced by Roger Corman) starring Richard Bakalyan, June Kennedy, John Brinkley, Robert Knapp, Jana Lund, and Sheila McKay NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked, and one of the following is true: either the poster had minor defects, and was well backed, OR it had more significant defects, but they were extremely well restored, OR it had some very minor defects that were not completely restored, and are somewhat noticeable. You can tell which of the above is the case for this particular poster by reading our "pre-restoration" description and also by looking at our "super-sized" image of the actual poster (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information about linenbacked posters to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). Note that we gave this condition grade to a very few posters that were in pretty good condition prior to linenbacking, but which were not all that well linenbacked, and which could be fairly easily re-backed with only minor additional restoration. The poster had tiny paper loss at the bottom crossfold and minute surface paper loss on several foldlines. There were staple holes in the blank borders and very minor border wear. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer linenbacked the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the tiny defects, but they are really not at all distracting (and any restorer could easily touch them up without re-backing the poster).
