An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More)

Mr. Celebrity, the 1941 William Beaudine equine horse racing sports gambling comedy starring Robert 'Buzz' Henry (billed as "Buzzy Henry"), James Seay, Doris Day (an actress who acted from 1939 to 1943, and then retired; the reason she is remembered is because five years after her retirement, a young actress, Doris Mary Ann Kappelhoff, took the name "Doris Day", and became one of the most popular singing romantic comedy leads of all-time!), Francis X. Bushman, Clara Kimball Young, and James J. Jeffries (billed as "Jim Jeffries"). Note that this is a pretty standard "B" movie of the 1940s, about a young man being raised by his uncle at a racetrack, and his grandparents don't want him around a racetrack because of the unsavory types there, but there is an interesting twist to this movie! They hired real life silent film stars Francis X. Bushman and Clara Kimball Young, as well as real life heavyweight boxing champ James J. Jeffries, all of whom play themselves in significant roles, appearing at the racetrack!

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.

Condition: good. Note that there is much blue paint writing on the back of the poster, but it does not bleed through to the front. There was much paper loss in the middle of the right blank border, and someone crudely replaced it with white paper taped onto the back of the poster. There are also many pieces of tape on the back of the poster.
