Brown, Bob Steele, Tom Fadden, Ben Welden, and Sonia Darrin. Note that not only did this movie have the direction of Howard Hawks and the great star power of Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall, but it also had the brilliant Raymond Chandler source novel, and a screenplay written by three great writers: Faulkner, Brackett, and Furthman! Important Added Info: Note that most collectors' first reaction to this first release poster from this classic pairing of Bogart and Bacall is "What were they thinking?". Not only does it have an odd image with a strange credit design, but Bogart has lips that are just as red as Bacall's, seemingly showing that he had lipstick on! Some people like this aspect of the poster, but whatever your feelings, if you want the first release one-sheet from this movie, this is your only choice, because Warner Bros. did not make a different style of poster! Also note that Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall only appeared in four movies together, and remarkably, we are currently auctioning one-sheets from each of those four movies, in four separate auctions (and even more remarkably, they were consigned to us by three different consignors). Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds, with some tiny tears and tiny paper loss on parts of the folds, and a 1 1/2" tear near the middle of the left border.
