Note that reading the plot summary above would make you think that this movie was a rip-off of The Day the Earth Stood Still, but actually, it came out BEFORE that, and also before most of the 1950s sci-fi greats. It was shot in six days on a budget of $43,000, a tiny fraction of the budgets for "The Thing From Another World" ($1.6 million) and "The Day The Earth Stood Still" ($1.2 million), and while it lacks in special effects, it still was a groundbreaking movie!
