2 R51 Vintage Theatrical 8x10 Stills (Learn More)

Edgar Allan Poe's The Mystery of Marie Roget, the 1942 Phil Rosen Universal Paris France crime horror murder mystery thriller (based on the Edgar Allan Poe story; this was Poe's sequel to "Murders in the Rue Morgue", so naturally, Universal tried to make a sequel to their own version of the earlier movie, and they used some of the actors who had appeared in "The Wolf Man" the previous year; this movie concerns the disappearance of a woman and the subsequent murder; one of the highlights of the movie is Maria Ouspenskaya doing much scene stealing as she had in "The Wolf Man") starring Maria Montez (in the title role as Marie Roget), Patric Knowles, Maria Ouspenskaya, John Litel, Edward Norris, Lloyd Corrigan, and Nell O'Day

Important Added Info: Note that both stills measure slightly off of 8x10, for unknown reasons. The one of the man with the two women may have had some of the bottom blank border trimmed, but it does not affect the writing at the bottom.

Condition: very good to fine. There are a few minor creases in the blank borders of both stills.. This week on eBay, eMoviePoster is selling an amazing collection of horror/sci-fi/fantasy vintage 8x10 stills. Most of the stills from the 1950s on were obtained by the collector directly from a movie theater. Most of the earlier stills were purchased from the leading movie memorabilia stores in the 1960s and 1970s. All of the stills purchased from stores were sold as originals, and many of them have original notations on the back that would certainly seem to confirm that they are indeed original. We at eMoviePoster carefully examined every still, and believe every one we are selling is a genuine original vintage still! However, since we know there is no way you can know this for sure from looking at a digital image, be aware that we unconditionally guarantee every still we sell to vintage and from the year we say it is. If you purchase any stills, and after receiving them, have doubts as to their originality, simply return it within one week for a no questions asked refund! We have sold many thousands of stills on eBay in the past two years, and only a handful of them were ever returned because the buyer had any doubt. We stand behind every item we sell!
