An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Bowery At Midnight, the 1942 Wallace Fox New York City horror crime thriller (borrowing from several Lon Chaney Sr. movies, Lugosi is a kindly professor who runs a soup kitchen by day, and a criminal mastermind by night; in a plot twist, he murders his henchmen and turns them into zombies!) starring Bela Lugosi, John Archer, Wanda McKay, Tom Neal, and Vince Barnett NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: good. The poster had small paper loss at the top crossfold and tiny paper loss at the other two crossfolds. There were creases, tears, and tiny areas of paper loss scattered down the vertical foldline and a lesser amount on the horizontal folds. There were pinholes in the corners. Someone wrote the name of the movie on the back of the left of the top horizontal foldline and it slightly bleeds through across the center of Lugosi's face. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects, and the restorer did not do anything about the slight bleed through in the center of Lugosi's face. Note that the restorer who mounted the poster did not leave any excess linen around the edges of the poster. Learn More about condition grades
