(Before Clothing), released outside the U.S. as "Nudes on the Rocks", the 1963 William L. Rose & Arnold Drake science fiction (sci-fi) time travel fantasy comedy sexploitation ("Nudes on the Rocks"; "The first women on Earth were his playmates"; "filmed in exiting NUDA color for NONBLUSHING adults only"; about an ex-burlesque comedian and his ex-stripper wife who live in a trailer park, and he lives next to an inventor who makes a time machine that sends him back to 50,000 B.C., where he meets many naked cave girls, including Bubsmia, "a beautiful virgin", who has been promised to "the giant Gorax") starring Charlie Robinson, Gigi Darlene (billed as "Hedi Leonore"), Mila Milo, The Cavegirls, Irving Selig, Al Monaco, Eddie Carmel ("The World's Tallest Man", as Gorax), and "Paul Lavert and His Swingin' Cavemen". Note that it is vital to the plot that the star is an ex-burlesque comedian and his wife an ex-stripper, because there is a long sequence where he remembers "the good ol' days" and there are extended flashbacks of strippers! Also note that this movie was released as both 50,000 B.C. and as Nudes on the Rocks, and since there are Nudes on the Rocks pressbooks that were printed in West Germany, we think that title was for the international release, and that the 50,000 B.C. title was for the domestic release. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Important Added Info: Note that this pressbook was printed in West Germany (for unknown reasons, since it is a U.S. production!), but it is completely in English. The most logical explanation for this is that they had trouble finding a printer to print this pressbook (because of the many nude images), so they found one in West Germany instead! But in every other way it is a U.S. pressbook, so we are calling it that. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Also note that this pressbook contains unclothed women, so we have placed white bars over those areas, for those who are bothered by such images. Of course, the actual pressbook does not have those white bars! Also note that we have provided an image of the front and back covers of this pressbook (if the back cover is not the poster page, we photographed the interior poster page), and of course, the winner of this auction will receive the entire single pressbook we are auctioning (plus any supplements or heralds described above)! Finally, note that this pressbook is complete and uncut! Given that theater owners received pressbooks partly in order to create their newspaper advertising, and quite frequently cut them up for that purpose, it is rare to find a pressbook that IS complete and uncut! Condition: very good, NO CUTS. The pressbook is complete and uncut. It was folded across the middle. Learn More about condition grades
