If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster has been paperbacked. What is paperbacking? This means the poster was backed onto a light paper backing (acid-free), that is similar in feel to that of the original poster (it means that the poster must be handled carefully, as the backing does not give it much added strength, but it is similar to having an unrestored poster, and yet it has been properly preserved). It is a similar process to linenbacking, except that most collectors use linenbacking for one-sheets and paperbacking for half-sheets, inserts, window cards. What IS paperbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: fair to good. Prior to paperbacking, the card was found in the back of a frame and it had been trimmed to 12" x 16", no doubt to be used as a backing board. The top 6" was trimmed off, as was the right 2". There were some smudges and scuffs in the part that was present, with some tiny dot stains scattered in the image. A really talented restorer paperbacked the card and replaced the missing top and right areas. It was really well done, and many people would not realize it had been done, even when looking closely at the card (see our super-sized image for a good sense of how the card now displays). At some point after it was backed, it was handled roughly, and it acquired a tear and surface paper loss in the center of the top blank border and someone oddly added a piece of tape to that area and also the top left corner, and also a piece of tape in the center of the bottom border that was mostly removed at a later time. None of these would be at all noticeable if the card is framed, but bear this in mind before placing a bid on this card. Learn More about condition grades
