An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Panic in the Streets, the 1950 Elia Kazan New Orleans waterfront crime film noir ("Watch Out!! Soon you will see the screen Excitement of the year!"; "Watch Out!! Elia Kazan creates the Excitement of the year!"; "From a Story by Edna and Edward Anhalt"; about a police captain and a health officer tracking down a killer who was exposed to the bubonic plague) starring Richard Widmark, Paul Douglas, Barbara Bel Geddes, Jack Palance (billed as "Walter [Jack] Palance"; in his film debut), Zero Mostel, Dan Riss, Alexis Minotis, Guy Thomajan, Tommy Cook, and Emile Meyer (he was hired after being spotted by Kazan doing road work!). Note that Widmark has said that Palance was the toughest guy he ever met, and was the only actor he's ever been afraid of. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good. The poster had small paper loss at the crossfolds and minor wear on the foldlines. There were pinholes, creases, smudges, small tears, and tiny paper loss in the blank borders. There were smudges in the white background areas at top right.
