Die Liebe Und Tie Erste Eisenbahn (released in the U.S. in 1935 as "Love and the First Railroad"), the 1934 Hasso Preis & Robert Nebbach German train railroad family relationship romantic melodrama (about a man who runs a stagecoach company, and his daughter falls for a handsome young engineer constructing a railroad, and if the railroad goes through, then her father's horse drawn stagecoaches will be put out of business!) starring Karin Hardt, Ida Wust, Hans Schlenck, Fritz Kampers, Jakob Tiedtke, Max Gulstorff, and Genia Nikolaieva

Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned this German window card, which is a "country of origin" poster for this German movie!

Of course, ANY German poster of any kind from before World War II is incredibly rare, because their paper shortages were even greater than those of other countries, and hardly any paper of any kind from before World War II survives (and in addition to shortages, items associated with the Nazi era were often destroyed for that reason). This is one of a remarkable group of 15 1930s German window cards we were consigned, which we are currently auctioning in 15 separate auctions. After these auctions have ended, it might be years before we even get one or two more of these.

Finally, note that this German window card is printed on a heavy paper stock that cannot be rolled.
