Early in his career, he shaved his head, and that became his trademark. Some of his movies include: The Magnificent Seven, The Ten Commandments, and the King & I (winner of the Best Actor Academy Award for this film). Sadly, he died of lung cancer in 1985 at the age of 65 (but not before he made a powerful public service announcement denouncing smoking!) Important Added Info: Note that these stills are from the personal collection of Nevart Apikian, who wrote an entertainment column for the Syracuse Post Standard for nearly 50 years. They were acquired from her estate after her passing. In the case of these particular stills, they come together with material she received from the studio about this movie, which they sent to her along with the stills, in hopes she would write a column about the movie!
