a circa 1919 Samuel Goldwyn 8x10 lobby card. In 1919, Samuel Goldwyn had the odd idea of printing lobby cards where only the title card had the name of the movie, and the seven scene cards only bore the words "Goldwyn Pictures". This is not of consequence when the entire set stays together, but when someone separates the title card from the scene cards, then the scene cards become "unknown Goldwyn lobby cards", especially since most of the Goldwyn stars from 1919 are little-remembered today. Fortunately, in 1920, Goldwyn went back to the regular practice of putting the title on all eight cards. WE DO NOT KNOW THE TITLE OF THIS MOVIE, OR THE STARS THAT ARE PICTURED! If anyone does know, please e-mail us that information, and we will revise the auction to reflect the correct title and stars.
