An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Title Lobby Card (LC TC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More)

Hell Divers, the 1932 George W. Hill Navy Naval Air Force military airplane aviation pilot adventure thriller ("They watched wits and dare-deviltry in love and in action! Thrills pile on thrills! For a girl's favor, they defy death in amazing deeds in the sky, and what a hair-raising climax! A big picture, made in co-operation with the U.S. Navy by the man who made 'The Big House'!"; about a crusty old naval officer who clashes with a young by-the-books brash officer) starring Wallace Beery, Clark Gable, Conrad Nagel, Dorothy Jordan, Marjorie Rambeau, Marie Prevost, and Cliff Edwards. Note that sections of this movie are set on one of the first Navy aircraft carriers, The Saratoga, and the airplanes landing on the carrier were still bi-planes, so this movie is wonderful to watch if you are a fan of maritime and war history!

Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned two examples of this title card, and those were 17 and 20 years ago! Also ncote that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has.

Condition: good. The card has darkened somewhat. It has tack holes, smudges, and some faint stains around the edges, and in the light background areas, and a few within the image. This is the sort of card that responds really well to professional restoration. It is likely that much or all of the smudges and stains can be removed through chemical means, and of course, most of the pinholes are in the blank borders, and after proper restoration, the card will look fantastic. Please look closely at our images of the front and back of this card before bidding. Note that this card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back!
