An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More)

The Busher, the 1919 Jerome Storm silent baseball sports melodrama (one of the first major baseball movies, in the movie, Ray plays for an unnamed "bush" league team called "The Blue Sox") starring Charles Ray, Colleen Moore, John Gilbert, Jay Morley, and Otto Hoffman. Note that John Gilbert was billed as "Jack Gilbert" in this movie (which is how he was billed in movies at this time). He had uncredited roles in 1915 and then had credited roles in 1916, but he still spent the next several years not achieving major stardom. One of his first major roles was in 1922 when he starred in an early version of "The Count of Monte Cristo". Of course, he would become a top star of the mid 1920s, and then he would co-star with a very young Greta Garbo, and the rest, as they say, is history!

Important Added Info: Note that ANY movie paper items from this movie are incredibly rare. We have only previously auctioned a pressbook (12 years ago), a complete set of 8 lobby cards (28 years ago), and a single scene card from this movie (and NO other movie paper). That single card has now been reconsigned to us, so this is still only one of the above items we have ever auctioned from this movie! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has.

Condition: very good to fine. The card has really minor border wear. Otherwise, the card is in nice condition. Note that this lobby card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back!
