An Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" (8x10) Movie Still (Learn More) Girls Can Play, the 1937 Lambert Hillyer baseball softball sports crime murder thriller ("While the crowd roars a beauty dies!"; "A beauty dies on the diamond... As gasps choke your cheers!"; "Beauties at the bat... As a killer hurls death!") starring Julie Bishop (billed as "Jacqueline Wells"), Charles Quigley, Rita Hayworth (this was the second movie after her name was changed from Rita Cansino), John Gallaudet, George McKay, and Patricia Farr. Note that Rita Hayworth plays the catcher for the female baseball team, and she (spoiler alert!) ends up dead! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that there is a paper snipe glued on the back of the still that describes the scene on the front. There is a stamp on the back of the still that reads, "PLEASE CREDIT A.L. SCHAFER COLUMBIA PICTURES". Condition: very good. The still has very slightly darkened in the front from the glue of the snipe on the back, but it is not very distracting, and otherwise, it is in quite nice condition!
