An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) Lightnin', the 1930 Henry King family relationship hotel owners comedy ("From the stage success produced by John Golden"; "Play by Winchell Smith and Frank Bacoi"; about a husband and wife that own a hotel that is built on the border between California and Nevada, so divorcing wives can stay in the Nevada half; the husband is super slow moving and is sarcastically nicknamed "Lightnin'", and there are multiple subplots, including crooks trying to buy out the hotel, and a lawyer who is in trouble in Nevada so he lives in the California half of the hotel; the movie closes with a sensational courtroom scene where Rogers must clear his name and also convince his wife that she is still in love with him!) starring Will Rogers, Louise Dresser, Joel McCrea (in his third credited role!), Jason Robards Sr., Helen Cohan and Rex Bell. Note that this is a remake of a 1925 silent movie directed by John Ford! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline).
