eMoviePoster.comAuction History Result BRING YOUR SMILE ALONG 1sh '55 Lease from Hershenson/Allen ArchiveAn Original Vintage One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh) (Learn More) Bring Your Smile Along, the 1955 Blake Edwards (his directorial debut!) romantic musical ("The guys, the gals, the great times of New York's fabulous 'Tin Pan Alley'!"; "Bring your rhythm along... For the big hits!"; "It's the big technicolor son-business musical!") starring Frankie Laine, Keefe Brasselle, Constance Towers (billed as "introducing Constance Towers"), Lucy Marlow, and William Leslie. Note that the meaning of the words "Tin Pan Alley" are pretty forgotten today, but in the days before television, just about every home had a piano, and sheet music sold in the millions! In New York City, starting around 1915, 46th Street and 8th Avenue became known as Tin Pan Alley, because that's where all of the song publishers were located, and every would-be songwriter would dream of selling their songs there!
