An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 23" x 36 3/4" [58 x 93 cm]) (Learn More)

Elinor Glyn's Three Weekends, the 1928 Clarence G. Badger silent mistaken identity romantic love triangle comedy (based on a story by Elinor Glyn, most famous as the author of "Three Weeks" and "It"; the title of this movie was an attempt to make a connection with her bestseller "Three Weeks"; about a beautiful young lady who sees a man driving a very expensive car, and she thinks he is rich, but actually, he is just driving his boss' car, and sparks fly between them; later she goes to a millionaire's house, who takes her swimming and hides her clothes, but the poor man she met earlier rescues her and they get married) starring Clara Bow ("the luscious, throbbing, captivating, red-head!"), Neil Hamilton, Harrison Ford (of course, not the same Harrison Ford that we know as an actor today, but a very popular leading man of the 1920s), Lucille Powers, Julia Swayne Gordon, William Holden (no, not THAT William Holden, but another actor of the same name who made 20 movies between 1920 and 1931, and he died the next year, which was 7 years before the more famous William Holden made his first movie!), and Edythe Chapman. Note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving complete copies are thought to exist.

Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned one example of this one-sheet, and it sold for $3,099! Also note that this one-sheet has been trimmed and it now measures 23" x 36 3/4" [58 x 93 cm]. Finally, note that because the one-sheet is glued to a large scrapbook page (see below), it needs to be shipped in a large flat package that measures approximately 14" x 20".

Condition: good. Someone trimmed the borders of the poster and it now measures 23" x 36 3/4". The trimming did not affect the image, and it only affected small printing at the bottom about the country of origin, the style, and a tiny studio credit, which are no longer present. That person who trimmed it then folded it twice and glued it to a scrapbook page by gluing the back of the top left quarter of the poster. The poster had some creases on the folds and pinholes in the corners. Obviously, a talented restorer can remove the poster from the scrapbook page and perform any degree or restoration on it that the new owner chooses. Please bear all of the above in mind before bidding on this rare poster.
