Exotic! Dramatic! Fascinating! Wondrous sights to thrill and amaze you!"; "Enthralling romance of the slave girl whose beauty enslaved her masters..."; based on the play by Oscar Asche; a musical version of "Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves") starring Anna May Wong, George Robey (as Ali Baba), Fritz Kortner, John Garrick, and Pearl Argyle. Note that when this movie was released in the U.S. by Gaumont British, the designers of the lobby cards chose to use an image of low-billed Pearl Argyle, perhaps because they did not want to use an image of Anna May Wong! Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned this Austrian three-sheet, and there is a wonderful chance that this is the only surviving example of this poster, given the extreme rarity of pre-World War II European posters (there was a "find" of a number of different Austrian three-sheets decades ago, but they were all from different movies, and there was just one example of each one, and this poster quite likely came from that find)! Note that the poster has an artist's signature on it, but we cannot read it. If anyone knows the name of this artist, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Also note that this Austrian three-sheet was printed in 3 sections designed to overlap, and when combined, the poster measures 49 1/2" x 110 1/2" [126 x 281 cm]. Condition: very good to fine.
