Important Added Info: Theaters in the 1920s and 1930s would purchase "photographic enlargements" (usually 40x60 inches, though this one is obviously smaller) that showed scenes from movies that were upcoming. They would then hire local artists to either solely paint in information about the movie, or, as was done in this case, to also hand color the black and white photo they were sent.
