An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked English One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 39 1/2") (Learn More) The Kidnappers (released in the U.S. as "The Little Kidnappers"), the 1954 Philip Leacock English Canada orphan-brothers-adopt-an-orphan-dog family adventure melodrama ("...they'll steal their way right into your heart!"; "the frankly sentimental story of love, hate and adventure in a primitive land"; "A story of primitive emotions and stark adventure for anyone with a heart!") starring Duncan Macrae, Adrienne Corri, Jon Whiteley (who won an honorary Academy Award for this role!), Vincent Winter, Jean Anderson, and Theodore Bikel. Note that John Whiteley and Vincent Winter were billed "as the Kidnappers". NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is a rare "country of origin" poster for this English movie! Condition: good to very good. The poster had small paper loss at the bottom crossfold and tiny paper loss at the top two crossfolds. There were some tiny creases and surface paper loss on parts of some foldlines and pinholes in the corners. There were some faint brown stains across the bottom 2" of the poster. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer linenbacked the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above, but they are really not at all distracting (and any restorer could easily touch them up without re-backing the poster).
