An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Destry Rides Again (released in some countries as "Arizona"), the classic 1939 George Marshall romantic cowboy western gambling poker comedy ("Based on the novel by Max Brand"; about the son of a famous sheriff who arrives in a crooked western town, with the hopes that he is like his father and will "clean up" the town, but he seems to be far from the man for the job, because he has Eastern ways, but he soon proves the naysayers wrong) starring Marlene Dietrich (as Frenchy), James Stewart (Jimmy Stewart; in the title role as Tom Destry Jr.), Charles Winninger, Mischa Auer, Brian Donlevy, Irene Hervey, Una Merkel, Allen Jenkins, Warren Hymer, Billy Gilbert, Lillian Yarbo, and Jack Carson. Note that the title of the movie refers to Stewart's character returning to the town where his father had been sheriff, but it is not a sequel of any sort. Oddly, when the movie was re-made with Audie Murphy in the lead role, the title was shortened to simply "Destry", which means that "Destry Rides Again" came before "Destry"! Note that this card has a stamp on the back that indicates it came from the legendary "Cozy Theater" collection! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: good to very good. There are many pairs of staple holes and a few smudges around the edges of the card, with a few faint scuffs in the lower left and lower left of the inset image.
