The company produces currently a range of cars and vans, and in the past has manufactured trucks, tractors, tanks, buses/coaches and autorail vehicles. Renault is known for its role in motor sport, particularly rallying, Formula 1 and Formula E. Artist: d'apres Herbert Leupin Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned one example of this French poster! Also note that this poster either reuses the Herbert Leupin art from an earlier release of this poster, or it was borrowed from a different poster. We know this because the poster designer added "d'apres", to signify that. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Also note that the Renault Dauphine was a rear-engined economy car manufactured by Renault, and more than two million were manufactured during its 1956-1967 production. What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: fair. The poster had some creases and tears scattered throughout the upper half of the black background area, with a few in the image and a few in the bottom half. It was displayed, and the reds and the yellows in the poster faded considerably. Overall, the poster was in fair condition prior to linenbacking. Someone linenbacked the poster, but did not address the fading at all. It could be displayed as it is, but bear in mind this significant defect before bidding. Learn More about condition grades
