An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Australian Daybill Movie Poster (db; measures 13 1/4" x 30" [34 x 76 cm]) (Learn More) MGM, the late 1960s (and likely used into the early 1970s) Australian stock poster used by theaters when showing MGM releases. This poster had a large area where the specific title of the film being shown could be overprinted or a snipe applied. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that our consignor tells us that this poster was hand-painted for use at the Wintergarden Theatre. Usually, theater owners would just hand-write the details on a stock poster but for these posters, the blank daybills were sent to a sign writer and he actually created individual hand-painted posters for various films. The artist sometimes used stock posters but often used a completely blank daybill, and these poster are likely one of a kind! Condition: fair to good. There is much writing on the poster typical of theater-displayed stock posters, however there is also some paper loss and other defects that can be clearly seen in our super-sized image Learn More about condition grades
