An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (27" x 41") (Learn More) The Professionals, the 1966 Richard Brooks (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film) south-of-the-border foiled-kidnapping-of-rich-man's-wife cowboy western ("When you want action - this is the one you want!"; "Excitement!"; "Based on a novel by Frank O'Rourke"; "Written for the screen and Directed by Richard Brooks") starring Burt Lancaster, Lee Marvin, Robert Ryan, Jack Palance, Ralph Bellamy, Claudia Cardinale ("as Maria"), and Woody Strode. Note that this was a "thinking man's" western, with lots of clever twists and turns, and fine dialogue. This was one of the few westerns to be nominated for an Academy Award for Best Director! This poster was linenbacked, and one of the following is true: either the poster had very minor defects, and was well backed, OR it had more significant defects, but they were extremely well restored, OR it had some minor defects that were not completely restored, and are somewhat noticeable. You can tell which of the above is the case for this particular poster by reading our "pre-restoration" description and also by looking at our "super-sized" image of the actual poster (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information about linenbacked posters to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!).
