An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Title Lobby Card (LC TC; measures 11" x 14") (Learn More) Murder at Midnight, the 1931 Frank R. Strayer crime murder mystery thriller ("Scott Darling's incredible mystery story, wherein an innocent parlor game develops into a series of ingenious crimes!"; about a society party where the guests play charades, and then one of the guests turn up dead, and everyone at the party is a suspect, and the police must determine who did it) starring Aileen Pringle, Hale Hamilton, Alice White, Leslie Fenton, Brandon Hurst, Kenneth Thomson (billed as "Kenneth Thompson"), Robert Elliott, and Robert Ellis NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Condition: good to very good. There are pinholes in the corners and creases and smudges around the edges of the card. Someone used the back of the card to keep the box score of the seventh game of the World Series in 1946 (between St. Louis and Boston). Apparently, 15 years after the movie was released, someone considered this lobby card "scrap paper", and used it in this fashion! The back of the card is covered with pencil writing and a grid of pencil lines, but the card is on thick paper stock, and even still, the pencil writing on the back does not affect the front (and it seems like a kind of cool addition to the card, since Boston that year had Dom DiMaggio, Ted Williams, and other all-stars, and St. Louis had Stan "The Man" Musial, Red Schondiest, Enos "Country" Slaughter, and Joe Garagiola, the famous catcher who became a legendary broadcaster and TV game show host, in his first season in baseball, and his only World Series appearance!).
