Cunha science fiction (sci-fi) monster horror thriller ("It Came From Another World"; "The creeping terror that rose from the depths of the unknown!") starring Edward Kemmer, Sally Fraser, Buddy Baer (in the title role as an undead Spanish conquistador!), Morris Ankrum, Bob Steele, and Jolene Brand (billed as "Joline Brand") NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster has been trimmed and it now measures 25 1/2" x 40 1/4" [65 x 102 cm]. Also note that the film distributor "Astor Pictures" primarily distributed re-releases of major studios in the late 1940s and 1950s, but they DID produce a few of their own movies, including this one. This is the first release of this movie, and it NOT a re-release! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. Someone trimmed off portions of all four blank borders, and the poster now measures, but only blank white paper was affected. The poster also had small paper loss at the top crossfold and some tears and small areas of paper loss in the top quarter of the vertical fold and in the left half of the top horizontal fold, with a lesser amount of wear on the other folds. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects, and the restorer did not address the missing paper of the blank borders.
