An Original Vintage Theatrical Deluxe 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Ava Gardner was an actress from the 1940s to the 1980s. Surprisingly, Hollywood did not recognize the talents of this beautiful actress for years, because she had a long string of tiny or uncredited roles before she became a star! Some of her movies include: Mogambo (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), The Killers, On the Beach, The Barefoot Contessa, Bhowani Junction, and many others! She was married three times to famous celebrities: Mickey Rooney, Artie Shaw, and Frank Sinatra. She also struck a friendship with Ernest Hemingway, who, after witnessing Gardner swim naked in his pool, told his staff "the water is not to be emptied"! She passed away in 1990 at the age of 67. Important Added Info: Note that this is a deluxe still printed on double weight paper stock. Note that this still has a stamp on the back in the form of a diamond that has the letters "TRR". One certainly might wonder who placed this stamp there and why. The answer is that the still (and many others we are auctioning in this set of auctions) come to us from a still collector who has collected for many decades, and long ago he began stamping the back of his stills with this stamp, and "TRR" is his initials! Each of the stills is stamped lightly, and the stamp does NOT affect the front of the still. He is a VERY advanced collector, and he has consigned many wonderful stills to us! Condition: very good to fine. The still is in very nice condition! Learn More about condition grades
