An Original Vintage 3 1/4" x 5 1/2" [8 x 14 cm] Postcard (Learn More) David Rose was a songwriter and composer from the 1940s to the 1990s. He won four Emmys for his work composing music for television programs and some of his notable musical compositions include: "The Stripper", "Holiday for Strings" and "Calypso Melody". Rose was also Judy Garland's first husband. He passed away in 1990 at the age of 80. Important Added Info: Note that this is one of a wonderful group of sixteen full-color postcards that were created by RCA in the early 1940s. Each features a major musician or vocalist who recorded through RCA, and each of the cards has a wonderful full-color portrait of that individual or group, or each has their name printed at the bottom with an image of the RCA dog and Victrola (see our images).
