An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4") (Learn More) Mama Loves Papa, the 1945 Frank R. Strayer politics family relationship romantic comedy ("He learns all the tricks of politics... and a few The Wife don't like!"; "The scream of the screen at his boisterous best!"; "The hilarious hi-jinks of a would-be big shot!") starring Leon Errol, Elisabeth Risdon, Edwin Maxwell, Emory Parnell, Charles Halton, Paul Harvey, Charlotte Wynters, Ruth Lee, and Lawrence Tierney. Note that this movie was a sequel of sorts to the popular "Mexican Spitfire" series. Star Lupe Velez had committed suicide the year before, but Leon Errol and Elisabeth Risdon had played backup to her in those movies as a married couple, and this movie is sort of a "spin-off", with them reprising their roles (although their characters are slightly changed, befitting their rise to star status). NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: very good to fine. The glass slide itself is in nice condition and the cardboard holder has some minor smudges (as can be seen in our super-sized images). Learn More about condition grades
