An Autographed Album Page (measures 4 1/2" x 6") (Learn More) Marilyn Monroe is one of the greatest larger-than-life movie stars ever of the 1950s, and surely the greatest sex symbol of all time! She appeared in several memorable movies including: Some Like It Hot, The Prince & the Showgirl, All About Eve, The Asphalt Jungle, The Misfits, The Seven Year Itch, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, Monkey Business, and Niagara. The last film that she worked on was Something's Got To Give in 1962. 20th Century Fox blamed Marilyn for the production being behind schedule, and fired her in June (the film was never completed). In August, she was found dead in her home from an apparent drug overdose, and her death was ruled a suicide (though there are theories that foul play was involved, and even in 2024, many people do not feel it was an "accidental" death). Important Added Info: Note that this item has been personally autographed (signed) by Marilyn Monroe! The autograph was purchased from a major New York dealer of sports memorabilia and autographs, Richard Simon Sports, Inc. He acquired the autograph album that included this page, and he separated the pages and auctioned them individually. He said at that time that the Marilyn Monroe autograph was "double and triple checked, and that it passed with flying colors". "The autograph was signed in an apartment on East 78th Street in New York City" (we don't know when it was signed, but it was surely in either the 1950s or early 1960s). Our consignor provided us with a copy of the receipt he received from Richard Simon Sports, which says "CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY Autographs Guaranteed Authentic For The Life Of The Item". We will send that copy together with the autograph page to the winner of this auction. Obviously, this album page will look incredible framed with a vintage photo of Marilyn Monroe! Condition: very good to fine. The page was very neatly removed from an autograph album. It has the original tiny holes along the spine and is otherwise in nice condition.
