An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded British Quad Movie Poster (BQ; Quad Crown; measures 30" x 40" [76 x 102 cm]) (Learn More) Emmanuelle, the 1974 Just Jaeckin French Thailand sexploitation movie ("X was never like this."; "Emmanuelle is sensual, but she's elegant... she's fantasy, but she's fun."; "From the book D'Emmanuelle" by Emmanuelle Arsan) starring Alain Cuny, Sylvia Kristel (in the title role as Emmanuelle), Marika Green ("in the role of Bee"), Daniel Sarky, Jeanne Colletin, and Christine Boisson. Note that after the success of the 1974 film Emmanuelle, many authorized sequels were created. The success also spawned many "knock-off" Emmanuelle films, which included the name Emmanuelle or its variants in their titles for exploitative reasons, but were not connected to the original series. Finally, note that this series of movies starring Sylvia Kristel was based on the book written in 1959 by Emmanuelle Arsan, although some people think that her husband, Louis-Jacques Rollet-Andriane, actually wrote the book. Important Added Info: Note that we have only auctioned one example of this poster before, and that was in 2006! Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Note that in recent months we started auctioning a wonderful collection of sexploitation one-sheets that includes many extremely rare titles from a single collector, and that collection includes lots of folded one-sheets, but also rolled one-sheets, special posters, and some other posters as well. This month there are 76 different rolled posters (all are in separate auctions), and they include a number of posters that we have only auctioned once or twice before. There are also a number with great images or taglines. This is an excellent opportunity to add one or more of these rare rolled posters to your collection, and this consignor only had one of each title, so on the rare ones, it may be quite some time before we offer the same title again! Condition: good to very good. The poster has moderate fold and border wear and pinholes around the edges (the pinholes are torn at upper right which makes that area slightly fragile).
