An Original Vintage Unfolded World War I Poster (measures 14" x 21" [36 x 53 cm]) (Learn More)

Little Americans, Do Your Bit, the 1917 U.S. World War I (WWI) Home Front poster ("Eat oatmeal-corn meal mush - hominy - other corn cereals - and rice with milk. Save the wheat for our soldiers"; "Eat corn meal mush - Oatmeal-corn flakes - hominy and rice with milk. Eat no wheat cereals"; "Leave nothing on your plate") created by the United States Food Administration which encouraged everyone to eat grains other than wheat (because there were major wheat shortages, and the U.S. was shipping lots of wheat to Europe) and featuring Cushman Parker art of a young boy saluting and a certainly tasty bowl of oatmeal-corn meal mush.

Condition: very good. The poster has a few smudges around the edges (see our image). There is a small piece of tape on back at lower center (not put there for any restoration purpose). It is otherwise in pretty nice condition.
