Cronin; about a tyrannical man who has a successful business, a wife, children, and a mistress, but everything comes unglued when his mistress pretends her ex-boyfriend is her stepbrother and convinces the man to hire him, and her ex-boyfriend proceeds to destroy the man's life) starring Robert Newton, James Mason, Deborah Kerr (in her fourth movie role!), Emlyn Williams, and Enid Stamp Taylor. Note that A.J. Cronin was a doctor who had health problems in 1930. He wrote a book called "Hatter's Castle" in 1931, and it was so successful that he stopped practicing medicine and wrote a series of books, all centering around doctors, including "The Citadel" and "Keys of the Kingdom", all of which were made into movies!
