An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded French Movie Poster (measures 38 1/4" x 53 3/4" [97 x 137 cm]) (Learn More) Cunegonde Femme-Cochere (literally translates to "Cunegonde Coach Woman"), the 1912 French silent slapstick comedy short starring Little Chrysia (in the title role as Cunegonde). It appears this movie was never released in the U.S. If anyone knows more about this movie or the lead actress, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Little Chrysia was an actress who made 46 movies from 1911 to 1915, and in the first group of them, she played a character called Cunegonde, and she also was in several playing a character called "Zoe", and in her later movies, she played a character called "Arabella", who teamed with an actor playing "Lynxeye" in her last movies in 1915. Artist: Lucien Charbonnier Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare pre-World War II French poster, which we have only auctioned once before! Virtually no French posters survive from before, during, or right after World War II. Apparently there were many paper shortages in France during World War II, resulting in the destruction of almost all pre-World War II posters! Also note that this is a "country of origin" poster for this French movie! Condition: fair to good. The poster is fragile and has darkened, more so along the folds, with fold and border wear.
