Date Sold 8/6/2013Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Autographed Union Contract (measures 6 1/2" x 9"; 2 pages) (Learn More) Ted Jordan was an actor from the 1940s to the 1970s. Some of his movies include: Walking Tall, Counterspy Meets Scotland Yard, and Sierra. In 1967, when the TV show "Gunsmoke" went to color, they filmed a new opening, and in it, Jordan was the "bad guy in black" at the other end of the street who was shot by Matt Dillon every week! He is probably better known for his off-screen activities. He was at one time married to stripper Lili St. Cyr, and he claimed to have been the longtime secret lover of Marilyn Monroe, writing the story "My Secret Life With Marilyn Monroe", and the movie "Norma Jean and Marilyn" was based on that book. He passed away in 2005 at the age of 80. Important Added Info: Note that this item has been personally autographed (signed) by Ted Jordan! There is a blue stub stapled to the top of the contract so we have photographed it with the blue stub as it is, and with the blue stub lifted up so you can see what is under it. Note that some contracts have Social Security numbers on them, and when they do, we obscure them in our digital image. Note that this item was consigned to us by a man who has been a major movie memorabilia collector and dealer from the 1970s on. During that time, he would regularly purchase collections of movie memorabilia from both dealers and collectors, and in some of those collections he purchased autographed items. Both we and our consignor feel it is quite likely that the autograph on this item is authentic, but he does not have a certificate of authenticity (unless noted above). Condition: very good to fine.
