An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Presskit (measures approximately 9" x 11 1/2"; contains 2 supplements and 4 stills) (Learn More)

James Dean: The First American Teenager (released in France as "James Dean Story"), the 1976 Ray Connolly English teen rebellion documentary ("A Roustabout, A Rebel, A Giant"; "At 18 he became a man... At 24 he became a legend."; "A little like yesterday ...a lot like today!"; about movie legend James Dean, whose fatal car wreck early in his career sealed his fate as the screen's most mysterious and rebellious teen idol.) narrated by Stacy Keach and featuring "appearances by" Sal Mineo, Natalie Wood, Dennis Hopper, Leslie Caron, Sammy Davis Jr., Carroll Baker, Jack Larson, and "featuring the music and songs of" Elton John, The Eagles, David Bowie, Mike Oldfield, Neil Sedaka, Bad Company, and Bachman Turner Overdrive. Note that the French posters for this movie have "James Dean Story" on them, but they have no connection to the 1957 Warner Bros. documentary of that name.

Important Added Info: Note that because this presskit is missing its folder (or it was made without one), we have taken a picture of the cover of one of the supplements (if there is more than one) and four of the stills (less than four if the presskit has less than four stills, of course). We have noted if the presskit contains any supplements, but we do not picture them. All of the presskits are sealed and ready to be sent, and we cannot answer any questions about the contents, especially about what any stills we may have not pictured show. REMEMBER TO LOOK AT THE TOP OF THIS AUCTION TO SEE HOW MANY STILLS ARE INCLUDED WITH THIS PRESSKIT, BECAUSE WE NEVER PICTURE MORE THAN FOUR OF THEM (and we pretty much picked four stills at random).

Condition: very good. There is no folder (perhaps it did not come with one), but one of the supplements (which unfolds into a one-sheet sized black & white poster of Dean) and the stills are in nice condition! Note that the vast majority of the presskits we are auctioning this week were carefully stored away for many years, and the stills are usually in really excellent condition. Sometimes the folder that contains the stills has some wear on it, and you should be able to see that in our super-sized image. We give an overall condition grade to each presskit, but remember that almost all of the stills are in excellent condition.
