An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Australian Daybill Movie Poster (db; measures 13" x 30" [33 x 76 cm]) (Learn More)

MGM, the 1940s Australian stock poster used by theaters when showing MGM releases or re-releases. This poster had a large area where the specific title and cast of the film being shown could be overprinted or a snipe applied.

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.

Important Added Info: Note that this stock poster was printed earlier in the 1940s but was used to promote a late 1940s (likely 1949) re-release of Ziegfeld Girl. The overprinted rating of Not Suitable for Children started around 1948 and a knowledgeable collector discovered 1949 Australian newspaper ads promoting the re-release.

Condition: very good to fine. Other than some minor fold and edge wear, the poster is in pretty nice condition.
