An Original Vintage Unfolded Travel Poster (measures 24 1/4" x 39 1/4") (Learn More)

French National Railroads (Societe Nationale Des Chemins De Fer Francais or S.N.C.F.), the French travel poster ("For traveling in France the railway is the right way"; "Visit France by train"; "Discover France by train") made by the S.N.C.F to encourage travel by the French National Railroad. Each poster features a wonderful image or art of one of the many locations that the railroad visits. The SNCF was founded in 1938 with the nationalization of France's main railway companies.

Artist: J. Cavaille

Condition: good. There is paper loss in the bottom corners of the poster that has been repaired with paper and glue from the front and back and there are several 3" and smaller tears around the edges of the poster that have been repaired with tape from the back. Other than the defects around the edges, the poster is in pretty nice condition.
