An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures 3 1/4" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) An Amateur Orphan, the 1917 Van Dyke Brooke silent comedy melodrama ("A Gold Rooster Play in five parts") starring Gladys Leslie (in the title role as the Amateur Orphan, Marcia Schuyler), Isabel Vernon, Thomas A. Curran, Jean Armour, and Chester Morriss NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). This slide is the kind that has two panes of glass that are taped together with black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of many older glass slides. We have provided a high quality scan of the image, but we have not taken a photo of the slide, because there would really be very little to see! Condition: fair to good. There is deterioration in the bottom right, but fortunately, it only affects the solid colored areas (see our image). The theater that used this slide wrote the days the movie was playing in the play dates section at the bottom of the glass. We know that the slide can be restored by an expert, or one could live with these defects, but bear them in mind before placing a bid. Learn More about condition grades
