'The French, They Are A Funny Race'"; based on the hilarious best-seller "The Notebooks of Major Thompson" by Pierre Daninos) starring Martine Carol, Jack Buchanan, Paulette Dubost, Madeleine Barbulee, Genevieve Brunet, Totti Truman Taylor, Andre Luguet, and Noel-Noel. Note that this was the final movie of Preston Sturges (who both wrote and directed it)
