Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: poor to fair. The poster had small paper loss at the crossfolds, and tears and areas of paper loss on parts of most folds, with pinholes, tears, and paper loss around the edges. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but it was displayed, and it faded considerably, and worse yet, it makes the restoration paint in the center of the vertical fold very noticeable (see our image).
