5d1042 LOT OF 15 UNFOLDED & FORMERLY FOLDED HORROR/SCI-FI/FANTASY ONE-SHEETS 1970s-1990s cool!

a lot of 15 unfolded and formerly folded horror/sci-fi/fantasy one-sheets. Note that the items in this lot are mostly from the 1970s to the 1990s. We do not provide a list of these items, but there are images of all of them.

Note that these posters have something VERY UNUSUAL about them. What is that? The person who owned them had a home movie theater, and they had a large collection of posters, and they would display them when they showed the movie, and they needed a way to protect the posters while they were being handled, and keep them from being damaged while on display. He came up with a solution that we have not seen before. He had a thin sheet of laminate plastic placed over the BACK of each one-sheet, BUT NOT ON THE FRONT (as is normally done when laminating the poster). If you have ever seen "laminated" posters, they are often covered with very thick plastic material on both sides. THE LAMINATE PLASTIC USED HERE IS A THIN MATERIAL. While we have never seen this before, it actually works well! The front of each poster is no different then they were, but the plastic on the back greatly helps protect each poster from tears or other defects (this is the same principle that was used decades ago when they would kraftback posters moving from theater to theater, and as with kraftbacking, the posters with this laminate plastic on the back CAN be folded as normal, although these posters were sent to us not folded, so we are auctioning them that way, but they could be easily re-folded along the original folds, because the plastic is fairly thin). WE DON'T KNOW HOW EASY OR HARD IT WOULD BE TO REMOVE THE PLASTIC FROM THE BACK (although there were a few of the ones we were sent where the plastic was separating, indicating it surely COULD be done), but the buyer of this lot will have two options. They can either keep the poster exactly as is, and if they display it, no one will even know about the plastic laminate on the back, or they can have a restorer remove it. Either way, DO NOT BID ON THESE POSTERS UNLESS YOU CAN ACCEPT THAT THEY HAVE THIS ON THE BACK (but NOT on the front).

Condition: good. THE POSTERS HAVE LAMINATE PLASTIC ON THE BACK ONLY (see above). No restoration was performed, so they have some other defects (see our images). ALSO NOTE THAT THIS LOT INCLUDES FRIGHT NIGHT AND ARMY OF DARKNESS, POSTERS THAT WOULD SELL FOR A GREAT DEAL IF THEY DID NOT HAVE THIS PLASTIC LAMINATE ON THE BACK! This is a great opportunity for someone to purchase these posters (hopefully at a discounted price) if they have not wanted to pay the current retail price these posters command these days!
