Stein English Paris France theater stage play acting romantic melodrama (about a playwright who falls madly in love, and his lover provides him with inspiration for writing new plays, a non-musical dramatic version of the Puccini opera "La Boheme") starring Gertrude Lawrence (in the title role as Mimi), Diana Napier, Douglas Fairbanks Jr., Harold Warrender, and Carol Goodner. Note that this movie was one of several films that Douglas Fairbanks, Jr. made did while living in the United Kingdom from 1934 to 1936. This is also one of the few films that stage star Gertrude Lawrence made and it was while she and Fairbanks were romantically involved (at this time, Fairbanks also appeared on the London stage in two different plays with Lawrence, Moonlight is Silver and The Winding Journey).
